🔴 Type-aware linting loses the compiler API
With TypeScript 7 installed,
yarn lintfails becausetypescript-eslintcalls the absentts.createSourceFileAPI. The package root exports version metadata instead of the compiler API that the configured parser requires.Learn more
The TypeScript 7 package root exports only version metadata. The configured typescript-eslint parser imports that root and calls compiler APIs such as
ts.createSourceFile, so the mandatory lint stage in build-and-test cannot parse source files. Storybook's docgen integration also depends on compiler APIs from the same root, so it cannot produce TypeScript prop documentation.Example: After installing the locked dependencies, run
yarn linton an ordinary.tssource file. The parser callsts.createSourceFile, but the root TypeScript import has no such function; lint terminates before checking the file.Recommended fix: Keep a compatible TypeScript compiler API available to
