Do not trap signal TSTP on JRuby/Windows #477

Closed

Description

@sfrieske

Description

Using JRuby on Windows the following message gets displayed in each new line:
The signal TSTP is in use by the JVM and will not work correctly on this platform.

Commenting out the corresponding lines in line_editor.rb (methods set_signal_handler and finalize) fixed it for me. However, this should definitely be done more intelligently.

Terminal Emulator

Windows CMD 'shell', JRuby 9, IRB 1.4.3.

    This issue is not related to the Win32API capitalization fixed in JRuby 9.4.1, It is still there.
    To quickly reproduce run java -jar jruby-complete-9.4.1.0.jar -S irb
