Tokenized price rendering apps/site/src/components/motion/count-up.tsx, apps/site/src/components/sections/pricing-prices-ssr.test.tsx |
countUpTokens splits values into digit and non-digit tokens and formats digit runs as en-US numbers. CountUp renders the tokens separately. Tests check token scaling and server-rendered pricing output. |
Visibility-based animation apps/site/src/components/motion/count-up.tsx, apps/site/src/components/sections/pricing-prices-ssr.test.tsx |
CountUp uses an IntersectionObserver with a -15% bottom root margin. countUpStep selects final, reset, animate, or keep behavior based on motion settings, active state, visibility, and progress. Tests check the decision states. |

counts reset progress to 0, even when inView remains true; keep progress at 1
for reduced motion or an unresolved inView state. This ensures returning to an
active slide replays the animation.

The price counter on the home page scenario cards and the /pricing comparison cards started at zero on the server and only counted up in the browser, so the HTML served to crawlers and no-JS readers showed "$0-0" (home, Growing SaaS) and "$0-0" with an en dash (all three /pricing cards). CountUp now renders the final value on the server and on the first client render. After hydration it resets a figure to zero only while it is off screen, counts up when it scrolls in or its carousel tab is picked, leaves a figure that is already visible alone, and never animates with prefers-reduced-motion. This also removes a hydration text mismatch on /pricing for readers with reduced motion. Adds a renderToStaticMarkup test for CountUp, PricingScale and PricingComparison. CountUp's effect decision moves into countUpStep() and is tested: inactive figures (hidden carousel slides and a slide sliding out) show the real price, an active figure off screen resets and counts up as it comes into view, and a slide picked again before it left view keeps its value instead of flashing to zero. The doc comment now states that replay needs the figure to have been out of view. The SSR price test now expects the current scenario and comparison prices from #8565. CountUpstarted at zero on the server and only counted up in the browser, so the HTML that crawlers and no-JS readers get showed "$0-0" for the Growing SaaS tab on the home page (Typical stack and Prisma) and "$0-0" (en dash) on all three /pricing cards. The server render and the first client render now show the final value.prefers-reduced-motion: reducethe figures never animate. This also removes a hydration text mismatch (React error Fix a minor type #418) on /pricing for those readers: the first client render used to depend on the reduced-motion setting while the server render did not.pricing-prices-ssr.test.tsxrendersCountUp,PricingScaleandPricingComparisonwithrenderToStaticMarkupand checks for the real prices and for no "$0-0" (hyphen or en dash).
