Add live speed dial alongside WPM configuration #24

Description

Summary

Add a live speed dial (for example, 1 through 10) that can be adjusted on the fly during a read. Treat this as additive; do not remove existing WPM configuration unless explicitly confirmed later.

Source

Acceptance criteria

  • Reader speed can be adjusted live with a simple speed dial scale.
  • The live control works during an active read without removing existing WPM-based configuration paths.
  • Current WPM configuration remains available where users still need it.
  • Add or update browser/UI test coverage for the relevant user flow.
  • Solution tests pass before the issue is marked ready for user verification.

Implementation note

Treat this as an additive feature or presentation option. Do not remove existing behavior unless the user explicitly confirms deletion.

    Implemented and validated in local main commit cef8cf9 (pending push): added a live 1-10 Teleprompter reader speed dial alongside the WPM controls, persisted the mapped WPM value, localized the tooltip, and kept the expanded reader rail responsive on phone-sized viewports.

    Verification completed on 2026-04-26:

    • dotnet format ./PrompterOne.slnx (completed; formatter still reports existing IDE0060 cannot be auto-fixed)
    • dotnet test @./tests/dotnet-test-progress.rsp --project ./tests/PrompterOne.Web.Tests/PrompterOne.Web.Tests.csproj: 629/629 passed
    • dotnet test @./tests/dotnet-test-progress.rsp --project ./tests/PrompterOne.Web.UITests.Reader/PrompterOne.Web.UITests.Reader.csproj: 176/176 passed
    • dotnet test @./tests/dotnet-test-progress.rsp --solution ./PrompterOne.slnx: 1191/1191 passed
    • dotnet publish ./src/PrompterOne.Web/PrompterOne.Web.csproj -c Release -o ./.artifacts/prompterone-publish -p:PrompterOneBuildNumber=0: passed locally, with the expected local warning that wasm-tools is not installed so publish ran without size optimizations.

    Release-version comment still needs to be added after the release containing this commit ships.

    Follow-up for @byskyphy's "there's no dial" comment is fixed locally, pending push/release.

    What changed locally:

    • moved the live speed dial into the bottom reader transport controls, next to the speed label, so it is visible during reading instead of hidden in the side rail;
    • kept existing WPM configuration paths intact;
    • updated reader tests to assert the dial lives in the bottom transport controls.

    Local implementation:

    Local validation after this commit:

    • dotnet test @./tests/dotnet-test-progress.rsp --solution ./PrompterOne.slnx: passed, 1198/1198
    • dotnet publish ./src/PrompterOne.Web/PrompterOne.Web.csproj -c Release -o ./.artifacts/prompterone-publish -p:PrompterOneBuildNumber=0: passed

    Not ready for release-version review comment until the commit is pushed and shipped.
