Welcome to the Open Modular Turrets wiki!
Open Modular Turrets (OMT) lets you build turret bases, mount turrets on their faces and keep your home safe from mobs and unwanted visitors, whether you are online or offline. It also includes the blocks of the former Open Modular Passive Defense (hardened blocks, walls, fences and the camouflage trap).
This wiki describes version 4.x, which exists for Minecraft 1.12.2 (Forge) and for Minecraft 1.20.1, 1.21.1 and 1.21.11. Both lines share the same gameplay; where they differ, the page says so. The screenshots were taken on Minecraft 1.12.2.
| Minecraft | Loader | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| 1.20.1 | Fabric | Fabric Loader + Fabric API |
| 1.20.1 | Forge | native Forge build, or the Fabric jar through Sinytra Connector |
| 1.21.1 | Fabric, NeoForge | NeoForge build is native, no extra mods needed |
| 1.21.11 | Fabric, NeoForge | |
| 1.12.2 | Forge | needs OMLib; passive defense is the separate, optional Open Modular Passive Defense |
1.20.1 and newer: the library OMLib and the passive defense blocks are bundled inside the jar; you do not need to install anything else. Energy uses Team Reborn Energy on Fabric and the energy capability on (Neo)Forge, so power from other tech mods works. Jade shows tooltips for turret bases, turrets and owned blocks if installed.
1.12.2: install OMLib next to the mod; Open Modular Passive Defense is optional. It integrates with JEI, HWYLA, The One Probe, OpenComputers and ComputerCraft (see OC CC Functions).
