I presume that it will if only the branch is renamed. There is a guide available from https://docs.github.com/en/repositories/configuring-branches-and-merges-in-your-repository/managing-branches-in-your-repository/renaming-a-branch
may need to look into:
masterand renaming may automagically work itself out)master(but this may be automagically redirected)
