Description

@vaskoz

Good morning! Here's your coding interview problem for today.

This problem was asked by Google.

Implement a file syncing algorithm for two computers over a low-bandwidth network. What if we know the files in the two computers are mostly the same?

    Perhaps implementing a low-bandwidth network filesystem. https://pdos.csail.mit.edu/papers/lbfs:sosp01/lbfs.pdf

    Basically, hashing chunks of the file to determine if changes exist.

    Alternatively, an rsync algorithm for a file with changes: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rsync#Determining_which_parts_of_a_file_have_changed
