I extracted the UX5406AA cirrus firmware from Windows and placed in /lib/firmware/cirrus in preparation of the kernel quirk fix:
    ls -la /lib/firmware/cirrus/cs35l5610431464 /lib/firmware/cirrus/cs42l4310431464

Adding Cirrus team @thesofproject/cirrus firmware questions.
@bardliao @ujfalusi could the driverbe loading the wrong topology here or are we missing for this config ?

@splashd1 @lgirdwood The ASUS issue is duplicated with thesofproject/linux#5721. The reason is that the driver wrongly selected the sof-ptl-cs42l43-agg-l3-cs35l56-l2.tplg topology which misses the 2nd amp DAI.
    Could someone please test thesofproject/linux#5728?
But there is another issue on BIOS. The non-existing rt722 codec is reported in the ACPI table. That will lead to another issue. We need to ask ASUS to fix it.
@rom-ruszok The Dell issue seems be different from the ASUS one. Please rename sof-dyndbg.conf.txt to sof-dyndbg.conf and put it in the /etc/modprobe.d/ and share the dmesg after rebooting.

@splashd1 Could you share more context? This is about using cs42l43 mic or not. In theory, the driver will select the right selection is the DisCo table is set properly in the BIOS. But it won't change the topology selection.

    Please add options snd_sof tplg_filename=sof-ptl-cs42l43-l3-cs35l56-l12.tplg to /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf
    And extract sof-ptl-cs42l43-l3-cs35l56-l12.zip to /lib/firmware/intel/sof-ipc4-tplg/

    And share dmesg with sof-dyndbg.conf.txt.

The topology you provided requires Capture-SmartMic. This is a fundamental issue — the cs42l43 SDCA SmartMic DAI type isn't supported by the current driver. I see the card, but it is unusable.

But according to https://github.com/user-attachments/files/26971612/dmesg_after_patch_5741.txt, the SmartMic DAI is created by the machine driver.

Yeah I think its trying to find a DAI for the erroneous rt722.

Note this is just a test not a fix, but could you try reverting (on top of the stuff Bard has suggested): thesofproject/linux@bb6a3c2
And see if that stops it complaining about the missing DAI.
