Playback to HDMI PCM stuck after monitor hotplug #1763
Description
On some TGL platforms, playback to HDMI gets stuck in following condition:
- system booted, enters low-power state
- HDMI monitor connected via hotplug
- playback with SOF to HDMI PCM
-> aplay gets stuck sending commands to HDMI codec (HDA verbs not getting responses back, no response via RIRB)
Problem does not occur if:
- i915.disable_power_well=0
- i915 dmc firmware is disabled (has same impact as above)
