A point cloud counted into 3D hexagon towers
one HTML file · runs in the browser · no install · free and open source
Open Hexbin · Run it · More tools
Thousands of points, counted into hexagons and raised as towers. Tilt it all the way down and it reads like a city of your data.
- Shapes: solid towers, stacked floors or cones
- Scales: linear, square root or log for big data
- Color: gray, an ink ramp or an accent ramp
- A seeded cloud to start with, or your own data as CSV or JSON
- Export: PNG, SVG and a JSON config
Open robvagin.github.io/hexbin, or download index.html and open it from your disk. It is the whole tool: no build step, no dependencies, no network. Press H to hide the panel.
I'm a designer. I build small tools like this for my own work, with AI agents: I make the decisions, Claude Code writes the code. The panels follow one grammar across the whole set.
Take it if you want it.
