Slackware From Seed (SFS) kit
=============================

Builds Slackware64 (development branch) from its own source tree, inside a
chroot, without network once the preparation is done. Default scope: the
a, ap, d, l, n, tcl series and the kernel, plus the x, xap and kde packages
those need.  No desktop environments.

Follow GUIDE.md. Everything is done with one command:

  ./sfs doctor check the host, sfs.conf, the tree and the kit
  ./sfs prepare build data, plan, risk check, seeds (network)
  ./sfs stage0      temporary toolchain                   (root)
  ./sfs build       stage1, pass1, pass2, then verify     (root)
  ./sfs status | log [-f] | report | verify | enter | umount | plan | provides | kernels

REFERENCE.md explains what ./sfs does underneath: every step, every script,
how the build order is computed and how to fix a build that fails.

The build order is not written by hand. sfs-plan.sh (gen.py) computes it
from the data in data/ (what every official package links against, which
package has which command and .pc file, what python packages need to build)
plus what was learned by building (manual.tsv, base.list, overrides/).
NOTES is the log of every problem met on the way and how it was solved;
DISCOVERED-DEPS.tsv lists every dependency that had to be found by building.
