App crashing when using AnimatedView on two different fragments #15

Closed

Description

@Lisomatrix

Hi,

My application is crashing with

E/omatrix.lockow: JNI ERROR (app bug): accessed deleted Global 0x32fa
A/omatrix.lockow: java_vm_ext.cc:577] JNI DETECTED ERROR IN APPLICATION: use of deleted global reference 0x32fa
    java_vm_ext.cc:577]     from void app.rive.runtime.kotlin.Renderer.nativeAlign(long, app.rive.runtime.kotlin.Fit, app.rive.runtime.kotlin.Alignment, long, long)
A/omatrix.lockow: runtime.cc:655] Runtime aborting...

after I attempt to open a fragment with another AnimatedView, I'm currently doing exactly as in the sample project.

Do I need to clean something up before changing fragments? I tried using renderer.cleanup() inside onDestroyView(), but just gives another similiar error.

    Thank you for reporting the crash, we'll try and get this reproduced

    We've recently created an example of wrapping the new RiveAnimationView in a fragment.

    Does this help?

    We'll close this out in favor of the example; please feel free to re-open if things are still not working correctly for you on the latest version.
