User Guide: replace screenshots of the old site with the new one #350

Open

Description

@adamjohnwright

A curator review of beta (item 1d) found that the User Guide shows screenshots of the old Reactome site. The Pathway Browser page, for example, shows the Fireworks overview, where the new site has Reacfoam. The images do load from this site; what they show is out of date.

Scope, from the guide's content in projects/website-angular/content/documentation/userguide/:

Page Images Affected?
searching 20 website UI
cytomics 18 check
analysis 15 website UI
claim-your-work 9 website UI
pathway-browser 6 website UI (includes the Fireworks view)
details-panel 5 website UI
review-status 2 check
reactome-fiviz 114 no: screenshots of the Cytoscape desktop app

That's about 75 images of the website.

Approach:

  1. For each image, record what it shows, and whether the new site has the same thing, has it differently (Fireworks → Reacfoam), or doesn't have it. Some screenshots will need their text rewritten too, not just the picture swapped.
  2. Retake the matching ones on beta with a scripted browser at a fixed size and theme, so they're consistent and can be retaken after each release. Keep each image's file name so the pages don't change, where the content still fits.
  3. Hand the ones where the text also changes to a curator.
