Question - How to catalog events that have multiple talks in few/single videos #1346
This issue is to track events that have multiple talks in a few videos or even a single video.
Personally I believe we should not skip those events but it is hard to automate the scraping part as requires manual identification of when the talk starts within the wrapper video. I don't think it is worth changing the data format just for these instances but maybe allowing multiple entries with the same link (albeit with different t query param).
This is exactly what happens with the "Lightning Talks" however, those videos have between 5 and 10 talks in less than 1h block, dividing it into multiple 5-10 minutes maybe excessive. I'm referring to videos that last for several hours with multiple 20-40 minute talks.
I will compile a list below and edit the comment as I identify more
What are your thoughts? Have you encounter this before? @jonafato
I've just been listing all the speakers and giving short generic descriptions for lightning talks. It's tricky because sometimes people forget to say who they are. We could update the descriptions with the title of lightning talks but they don't always have them. I think once we get transcripts up on the site, this issue will be mitigated somewhat and just having "Lightning Talks" would be fine.
