ci(e2e): run the HA fault leg under spiffe as well as pin - #449
The HA fault leg now runs under spiffe as well as pin.
Motivation
The identity paths that leader election touches, enrollment, renewal and the lost-identity stand-down, run only under spiffe. A spiffe-only defect in #437 surfaced in the rotation legs rather than the HA leg, which ran under pin alone.
What changed
.github/workflows/helm.yaml: a spiffe, HA faults leg beside pin, HA faults.
The drain-window changes this PR first carried are dropped. #451 keeps the drain watcher running until the old operator pod is gone, counts only NotFound as gone, and sets shutdownDelaySeconds to 3 on the HA fixture, so the withdrawal window is sampled and the strict drain-order check stays.
Summary by CodeRabbit
Tests
Expanded automated high-availability fault testing to cover SPIFFE peer trust alongside the existing pin-trust scenario. This adds another trust configuration to the project’s continuous integration checks; it does not change functionality available in the product.

Walkthrough
The kind-hub-site workflow matrix adds an HA-fault test leg that uses SPIFFE peer trust.

Summary
SPIFFE HA-fault test leg .github/workflows/helm.yaml
The kind-hub-site matrix adds a leg labeled “spiffe, HA faults,” with SPIFFE peer trust and HA enabled.
The SPIFFE HA test leg may still intermittently miss or falsely report the drain window; this is a bounded test-reliability follow-up rather than a production failure.

Full details: Title check
Explanation
The title says the HA fault e2e leg now runs under spiffe as well as pin. The raw summary confirms that the kind-hub-site matrix in .github/workflows/helm.yaml adds an HA-fault test leg using SPIFFE peer trust, next to the existing pin-trust HA leg. The title matches the only file change. The PR objectives describe a broader change (drain-window watch, skip-on-unobserved logic, and removal of operator_prestop), but the title does not mention those. That is partial coverage of the PR scope, not a mismatch, so the title passes.
