🟡 Minor · Restrict capacity lookup to the MachineSet's Machine kind. · machine-set.tsx:435-447
frontend/public/components/machine-set.tsx:435-447
🎯 Functional Correctness | 🟡 Minor | ⚡ Quick winRestrict capacity lookup to the MachineSet's Machine kind.
MachineSetListwatches both Machine kinds and places Machine API objects first.capacityResolverselects the first label match, then uses itsstatus.nodeRefto display CPU and memory. A same-namespace Machine API Machine with matching labels can therefore provide capacity for a Cluster API MachineSet.Filter the candidates by the MachineSet's API group before applying the selector. Keep the merged list for the combined Machines view.

frontend/public/components/machine.tsx:287-318
🎯 Functional Correctness | 🟡 Minor | ⚡ Quick winFilter Machines by the parent MachineSet API group.
MachinePageapplies the MachineSet selector to both API groups. A Cluster API selector can use labels that also exist on a same-namespace Machine API Machine. The Machine API object can therefore appear in a Cluster API MachineSet tab. Pass the parent resource kind toMachinePageand filter the merged results by that kind. Keep the unscoped Machines page merged across both APIs.Suggested fix

Match Cluster API Nodes by name.
The new Cluster API Machine path reaches the node lookup at Line 454. Cluster API v1beta2 status.nodeRef has a name but no uid, so the UID comparison cannot find its Node. The CPU and memory cells then show zero for that MachineSet. Match Cluster API Nodes by nodeRef.name; retain UID matching where the Machine API provides it. (main.cluster-api.sigs.k8s.io)

Scope capacity matching to the Machine API namespace.
Cluster API v1beta2 Machines do not provide nodeRef.uid, so they cannot supply displayed Node capacity through this resolver. The missing namespace check still affects Machine API Machines, whose MachineKind includes status.nodeRef.uid. A same-label Machine API Machine from another namespace can therefore supply the capacity.

Dual-watch machine.openshift.io and cluster.x-k8s.io resources on the Machines and MachineSets pages so CAPI workers appear alongside Machine API control-plane machines.
Analysis / Root cause:
On OpenShift 5.0 clusters using Cluster API (Tech Preview), worker Machines and MachineSets are created as
cluster.x-k8s.io/v1beta2resources (typically inopenshift-cluster-api). Control-plane Machines continue to use Machine API (machine.openshift.io/v1beta1inopenshift-machine-api).The console Machines and MachineSets pages only watched Machine API resources, and the Compute nav links were hardcoded to the
openshift-machine-apinamespace with the Machine API GVK. As a result, Cluster API workers never appeared on those pages even though they existed in the cluster.Solution description:
ClusterAPIMachineModelandClusterAPIMachineSetModelforcluster.x-k8s.io/v1beta2(kept existing Machine API models unchanged).referenceFor(obj)so CAPI details/YAML routes resolve correctly.list-pages.tsandresource-pages.ts.openshift-machine-apiandopenshift-cluster-apiresources are visible.Create actions still target Machine API for this fix.
