Aligns the Agents window terminal instance list with the editor window’s Modern UI presentation.

Changes

  • Apply the same inset, rounded terminal rows in default and compact density.
  • Match the list background to the Agents panel without overriding drag-target highlighting.
  • Add computed-style regression coverage for row geometry, icon-only mode, drop targets, and light, dark, and high-contrast theme classes.

Validation

  • npm run build-fast -- --client-only — passed.
  • npm run build-fast — passed (full product build).
  • ./scripts/test.sh --run src/vs/sessions/contrib/terminal/test/browser/terminalTabsStyles.test.ts --reporter dot — passed, 10 tests reported by the runner.
  • npm run eslint -- src/vs/sessions/contrib/terminal/test/browser/terminalTabsStyles.test.ts — passed.
  • npm run stylelint -- src/vs/sessions/browser/media/workbench.css src/vs/sessions/browser/parts/media/panelPart.css — passed.
  • git diff --check — passed.
  • Commit-time hygiene — passed for all three changed files.
  • Code review — no significant issues found.
  • Launched the built Code OSS Agents window and verified its renderer endpoint. Live visual and keyboard-interaction testing was not recorded.

How to test

  1. Open the Agents window, show Terminal, and create several terminal instances, including a split group.
  2. Compare the right-hand instance list with the editor window: rows should have matching inset spacing and rounded corners.
  3. Switch between default and compact density and check light, dark, and high-contrast themes.
  4. Narrow the list to icon-only mode, navigate it with the keyboard, and drag a terminal onto the list to verify the drop highlight remains visible.

No linked issue was supplied.

Match the editor window's inset, rounded terminal rows in default and compact density, while preserving the Agents panel background and drop-target highlighting.
