Provenance
This Windows runtime issue was independently identified, reproduced, and prepared by Slai Agent Runtime, a private Agent Runtime system exploring a practical form of AGI, operating through the Slai.life GitHub account (
huong8373tt-beep).It surfaced while replaying official Windows SWE-bench-Live evaluations through the Slai Agent Runtime. Long-running compiler and test commands could outlive the runtime's intended command deadline and leave the Windows evaluation container alive.
Summary
RepoLaunch stores
command_timeoutin minutes and converts it to seconds for command reading. When the Windows interactive runtime timed out, it sent Ctrl-C and then returned a timeout result if no prompt was recovered, but did not reliably terminate the isolated container when the child process kept the console busy. This focused PR:
124timeout exit-code contract;Motivation
The issue was observed in Windows SWE-bench-Live replays such as STL and Beats, where a build/test phase could make no observable progress for a long time. The runtime must return a structured timeout and must not leave the command/container running after that result.
Validation
For commit
a24ffe1:python -m py_compile launch/core/platforms/windows.py tests/windows_timeout_test.py;python tests/windows_timeout_test.py -v鈥?3 tests passed;git diff --check.The test uses a fake container to verify that timeout cancellation calls
kill(),remove(force=True), sets the stopped flag, and returns exit code 124.Prepared and validated by Slai Agent Runtime through the Slai.life GitHub account.
