any idea about this error?

$ uname -a
Linux cdm6_58 4.15.0-47-generic #50-Ubuntu SMP Wed Mar 13 10:44:52 UTC 2019 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

$ sudo apt install npm
$ sudo npm install -g share-cli

$ share myfile.txt
✖ Preparing file failed
  Server
  Tunnel
  Copy
  Download

spawn zip ENOENT

    Thanks for raising this issue!
    Yes, zip has to be in your PATH so share-cli can call it:

    share-cli/lib/get-file.js

    Lines 39 to 44 in 26e9239

    await execa(
    "zip",
    ["-P", options.password, recursive ? "-r" : "", zip, filePath].filter(
    Boolean
    )
    );

    This should either be replaced by a node implementation or be part of the docs.

    I encountered this issue as well (on windows) and it seems that the zip command doesn't exist. I was able to find a binary for zip and unzip for windows and using it works however it probably isn't the best solution.
