[Feature Request]: [Python API] add function to list available (connected) models #4559
Is there an existing issue for the same feature request?
I have checked the existing issues.
Is your feature request related to a problem?
Describe the feature you'd like
Gents,
may be I overlooked, but can you please consider adding .get_models() function to ragflow object in python api?
As per my understanding, it should return list of provider-model names combinations, that user connected to ragflow,
Right now I am thinking only about chat models, but may be we should also pull re-rankers.
It will help to create chat assistant programmaticaly, by iterating through 2-3 most performant model.
Describe implementation you've considered
get_model should return a dict, where key is model type (chat, re-rank, tts, etc), and value is model name
Apologies for the late reply, and thank you so much for your suggestion! 🙏 We truly appreciate your input.
In our latest version, we've added the ability to list available models! 🎉 Please give it a try and see if it helps solve the issue you're experiencing. We hope this feature makes things easier for you! 😊
Once again, thank you for your continued support of RAGFlow! We’re always eager to hear your thoughts and ideas, and we look forward to improving the product further with your help! 😄 @senovr

Hi, using ragflow-sdk 0.21.1, I'm not able to find the ability to list available models.
Any model retrieving method seems to be in ragflow.py...
I created a discussion about the topic:
"Add an API endpoint or SDK method to retrieve available models from Ragflow"
