FYI: tstrings-backport #1
Description
I just stumbled across this repo. I have bene trying to help with https://github.com/abilian/tstrings-backport, which looks very similar. This looks like it exports many more util functions however.
Perhaps you would find some parts of that useful though that you may want to pull in here, for example I ported over the cpython test suite to ensure that our implementation was compatible with the vanilla implementation. See abilian/tstrings-backport#16.

Thank you for your interest in tstr. I've also reviewed tstrings-backport you mentioned.
I already have the test suite from CPython included in my project. However, it does not update automatically. It would be great if I could apply your code for automatically updating the test suite to my tests as well. Since tstr's tests are a bit more complex and I'm personally short on time, implementing the changes will likely take some time, but I'll consider it if possible.
