Keeping gene description when creating input files #1

I am following the cafe tutorial in order to create input files for CAFE5, and I have reached the step where I have created the filtered_cafe_input.txt file. However, the description column only contains (null) for each gene, how can I keep a descriptor for the genes so I am able to tell them apart? Are they in a specific order from which they can be identified?
