As we transition to Participant recruitment we'll need to put together a strategy / outline for how to advertise each of the individual projects. For each project we should have a kind of template.
Remember, the objective of these descriptions is to entice Participants to join this project, so make sure to include a significance or rationale for why this is worth doing.
For the website side of things, I'll need the following for each project.
Project Promotional Materials
Project Title
Listed Team Leader. Optional: contact email, link to website
The Hook. In two-three sentences advertise the goal of your project and why it would be fun to join this particular team. (~ 1 line background/justification, ~1-2 lines on premise of project)
Project Abstract: (~300 words) Should have been completed with the application but may be revised. Detail what the project is about and what you're going to do.
Required Skills: What skills or knowledge is required a priori from the participants to be able to take part on this team
Optional Skills: What skills or knowledge would be beneficial for the participants to have but is not necessary to take part.
Graphic Abstract(Optional): Also if you want to get more attention with your project, make a 400x400px graphic abstract or image which we can use to promote your project on social media. This will increase the attention the posting (and your project) receives.
For the skills, please rate the level of competency requested for each skill out of 3 stars.
0 Star: "I'm familiar with sea."
1 Star: "I can work with this language if I have access to Stack Overflow".
2 Star: "I know this language and use it in my work/projects regularly."
3 Star: "I'm am one with the language. I've developed software using it."
I really like the list of actions 💯!
Also agree that TLs would know their project best to come up with the answers. Us as organizers could quickly scan and give them suggestions if need be.
This list could be sent to each TL after their interview to work on and send back to interviewers?

Hey guys! I am still waiting for the short summaries from most of the team leads. I still need them for @SweetiePi, Rob, Morgan, Veena and Arjun. @emreerhan have you heard from Allissa yet?
My hope is to start sending out the advertisements next Monday.
Hi @klgray25, update from Morgan and Cara is that they will be sending their project information this coming week, I will send another reminder mid week, will forward you as soon as we get it
Would you guys prefer that I wait on the last few projects to come in? Alternatively, I can write a few sentences for them for now from the submitted abstracts and then just replace the text once the team leaders get their info in? I think that what Veena submitted was only a few lines long anyways, so I could use that directly.

should we be asking the TLs to come up with most of this or are we to make them up?

I think the TLs should do this?
Also think of yourselves as Participants, what information would you want to know about a project which would entice you to join that project?

@klgray25
I'm expecting an email back from Arjun with his required/optional skills. I'll send you his title/hook/abstract right now.
I'm communicating with Allissa, I'll let you know as soon as possible if she's in or not.

Thanks to everyone who got their team lead info to me.
@jenjaelin @smaslova Did you hear anything back from Veena?
@NoushinN Okay, sounds good.
