Add Devsy to the official mise registry #1403

Open

Description

@davzucky

Goal

Make the Devsy CLI discoverable and installable through the official mise registry, using mise use -g devsy@latest.

Current state

Devsy is not currently listed in the official registry.

Scope

  • Choose a supported mise backend that installs Devsy from its published releases.
  • Submit an upstream PR adding the Devsy registry entry, following mise’s current contribution requirements.
  • Verify installation and devsy version (or the supported version command) on supported platforms.
  • Document mise installation in Devsy’s installation instructions once the entry is available.

Acceptance criteria

  • The upstream registry entry is merged and available in a released version of mise.
  • mise use -g devsy@latest installs the Devsy CLI successfully.
  • A specific released Devsy version can also be installed.
  • Devsy’s documentation includes the mise installation command.

Per the Mise documentation, Devsy has not gained enough popularity to add it to the mise registry. I will consider adding documentation to support mise installations through the github backend as an alternative.

    mise use -g 'github:devsy-org/devsy[matching_regex=^devsy-]@latest'

When adding a new tool, the following requirements apply:
The bar is normally thousands of GitHub stars, active maintenance, and real use outside the author's projects. Personal, internal, niche, and low-popularity tools do not meet it.
