Winget is Windows' native package manager. Chocolatey is an outdated package hosting method. It habitually hosts out of date packages, and people are moving to Winget.
As a side note: Winget can be managed using UniGetUI. Neat tool. Install it to see how things could be.

we welcome the community but we block anny further communications on requests that we dont like by closing the requests. sending people to use double version mananging of just 1 package manager.
Your friendly neighborhoud megacorp.
What happened? I don't really understand what you mean.
I've linked this with #1050 for Windows ARM64 package delivery. I'll keep this issue for Winget support generally, including x64. #1058 is a separate Chocolatey dependency problem; fixing that wouldn't by itself fulfill the Winget request.

Any updates on this? It would be great to move everything to a single package manager especially since winget is supported by MSFT.
