A command-line client for the Bronto observability platform. One binary wraps Bronto's REST and ingestion APIs: search and tail logs, explore OpenTelemetry traces, send events, and manage resources such as datasets and monitors. It's built for scripts and agents, with JSONL when piped, typed errors, stable exit codes, and --dry-run on every mutating call.
bronto-cli is an open-source project from Bronto, maintained as a community artifact: free to use and open to contributions, but not covered by Bronto's product support. Questions, bugs, and feature requests go to GitHub issues.

For agents, skill.md is a short orientation and llms.txt a 20-line summary. bronto --help and bronto <command> --help always match the installed binary. Platform concepts (datasets, the query language, monitors) are documented at docs.bronto.io.

The bronto CLI doesn't phone home: it sends no analytics or usage data to Bronto or the maintainers. By default the only network calls it makes are the ones you ask for, to the Bronto API and ingestion endpoints you've configured.
You can opt in to OpenTelemetry tracing of the CLI's own runs. It is off unless you set the standard OTEL_* variables, and spans go only to the exporter those variables select. By default, argument values are sanitized before they're recorded; BRONTO_TELEMETRY_CAPTURE can turn that off or record nothing. See Telemetry.
