Goal
Enable already installed Mozilla Firefox through Playwright4J's Java/GraalJS driver, without downloading browsers, geckodriver, Selenium, or Node.js.
Mechanism
Playwright Core 1.59.0 already offers the experimental
moz-firefoxchannel using WebDriver BiDi WebSocket. Route this channel separately from Chromium/CDP and Firefox/Juggler; detect Firefox readiness on stderr, forward its WebSocket endpoint, and preserve the Chrome/Edge paths.Validation
Status
Experimental draft. Stock Firefox BiDi is upstream-experimental, not yet full feature-parity with patched Firefox/Juggler. Some Java/GraalJS WebSocket compatibility gaps may still emerge. This PR must not be merged/published without empirical verification.
