The comment on BuildCacheHit said to keep the concrete-type hit path until the runtime fix ships. The fix is now known: it is in the .NET 11 ILCompiler and was not backported to .NET 10. The comment now says so, and says how the generic call returns once this repo targets net11.0: under #if NET11_0_OR_GREATER, with the current shape kept for earlier frameworks. Refs #182. Comment-only change in
CacheWriter.BuildCacheHit.The comment said to keep the concrete-type hit path "until the runtime fix ships". It now says where the fix landed and what happens next:
release/11.0in #134872. It was not backported to .NET 10.net11.0, the generator emits the genericTryGetValue<TItem>call under#if NET11_0_OR_GREATER, and keeps the current shape for net8–10. Apps targeting .NET 11 then pick it up automatically.🤖 Generated with Claude Code
