Hi! I'm having some issues with Vim mode which I've listed here.
While in Normal Mode, pressing Ctrl+a selects the entire text (instead of incrementing the next number on the line). Ctrl+x works fine for decrementing the number.
In the settings menu, Ctrl + j / k doesn't scroll down the settings categories in the order they are listed, it skips back and forth.
In the left sidebar, I can use j / k to scroll through my folders & notes. However if I expand a folder with l (lowercase L), the folder I expanded loses its focus, instead my currently open note is selected in the folder tree. I can scroll back up and "unexpand" / re-expand the folder which works correctly, but the first time I expand any folder or subfolder the focus shifts to my current note.
Thanks for the clear report, @athu16. All three were real, and each had its own cause.
Fixed in 61eac76 on the v2.77.0 branch, so it ships in ZenNotes 2.77.0:
Ctrl+A in Normal mode now increments the number, like Ctrl+X decrements it. On Linux and Windows the editor's own Select All shortcut is Ctrl+A, and it ran before Vim got the key. Vim now owns Ctrl+A in Normal and Visual mode. In Insert mode, Ctrl+A still selects all. macOS was never affected, since Select All there is Cmd+A.
Ctrl+J / Ctrl+K in Settings now step through the categories in the order the list shows them (Appearance, Typography, Editor, Tasks, Keymap, Vault, …). They were following a different internal order, which is why they jumped back and forth.
l on a folder in the sidebar now keeps the cursor on the folder you expanded, so j takes you straight into it. Expanding a folder for the first time loads its notes, and finishing that load used to pull the cursor back to your open note. Later expands found the notes already loaded, which is why it only happened the first time.
I checked all three on Linux with real key presses, against 2.76.0 and the fixed build: Ctrl+A turns 41 into 42, Ctrl+J walks Settings top to bottom, and l keeps the cursor on the folder.
Closing this now. If any of them still misbehaves after you update to 2.77.0, reply here and I'll reopen it.
