fix: Run element-target hotkeys after framework key handlers - #225
React, Svelte, Solid and Octane run onKeyDown handlers from one listener on the app root or the document. An element-target hotkey listened on the element itself, so it ran first and, with the default stopPropagation, kept the key from widgets inside the target. For example, Escape in an inline combobox closed the surrounding panel instead of the suggestions.
Adds afterDelegatedHandlers to core, hidden from adapter option types like appHotkeyId. An element target then listens on its document, or on the first closed shadow root above it. On that listener, element targets run first, innermost first, then document hotkeys, and a hotkey's stopPropagation still skips the outer ones. A stop by an earlier listener on the document skips the hotkey. Adding such a registration moves the shared listener after listeners added since, so a framework that delegates later still runs first.
React, Svelte, Solid and Octane set it in createHotkeyBindings. Preact, Vue, Angular, Lit, Alpine and Ember attach handlers directly to elements and keep their current behavior.
Solid calls delegateEvents(['keydown', 'keyup']) before registering, so its document listener runs before the hotkeys' listener even when the first component that uses onKeyDown loads later.
Tests: core unit tests that simulate root and document delegation, an Escape-in-combobox test per adapter, and a browser spec in Chromium, Firefox and WebKit.
sensible-defaults.md now describes the order in these frameworks.
Notes
Behavior change, listed in the changeset: framework handlers outside the target now also run before an element hotkey.
Summary by CodeRabbit
New Features
Element-targeted hotkeys can now run after delegated key handlers in React, Svelte, Solid, and Octane. This is enabled by default in those framework adapters.
When a delegated handler stops event propagation, the element-targeted hotkey is skipped. The behavior also works with closed shadow roots.
Added an option to control this ordering for custom integrations.
React, Svelte, Solid and Octane run onKeyDown handlers from one listener on
the app root or the document, so an element-target hotkey used to run first
and stop the key before widgets inside the target saw it.
- Add the adapter-only afterDelegatedHandlers option. An element target then
listens on its document, runs before document hotkeys, inner targets first,
and skips events that an earlier listener on the document stopped.
- React, Svelte, Solid and Octane set it. Solid also delegates its key events
before registering, so its onKeyDown handlers run before document hotkeys.
- Add core, adapter and cross-browser tests, and document the order.

Walkthrough
HotkeyManager adds an option that orders element-target hotkeys after delegated handlers. React, Svelte, Solid, and Octane enable it. Core, browser, and framework tests cover handler order and propagation behavior. The guide and changeset document the ordering.

createHotkeyBindings accepts afterDelegatedHandlers. HotkeyManager selects and tracks listener targets, orders bubble-phase registrations by their original targets, and skips registrations when propagation stops. Tests cover option updates, nested and detached targets, capture behavior, and closed shadow roots.

The four framework adapters enable afterDelegatedHandlers; Solid also registers delegated keydown and keyup events before updating bindings. Framework tests check handler order and propagation. The guide and changeset describe the behavior, and review-state records are updated.

Explanation
The title names the main behavior change: element-target hotkeys now run after framework key handlers. The changeset adds an afterDelegatedHandlers option, and the adapters for React, Svelte, Solid, and Octane set it. The title matches the core of the changeset and the PR objectives. It is a short, single sentence that uses the conventional fix: prefix.

Explanation
The description follows the template's intent. It explains the motivation (element-target hotkeys running first and blocking widgets inside the target, such as Escape in an inline combobox). It lists the implementation details, the tests, and the docs update. The template checklist items (contributing guide, test:pr run, AI-code understanding, changeset generation) are not visibly ticked in the provided text, and the Release Impact section is not explicitly marked. These are administrative items and do not block the review. The description is otherwise mostly complete.

…up moved targets
- A registration that runs after delegated handlers moves the shared listener
after listeners added since. Solid's document listener then runs first even
when the manager listened on the document before the first Solid hotkey.
- Cleanup and option changes use the document a listener attached to, so a
target that moved to another document doesn't leave a listener behind.

- An element target that runs after delegated handlers listens at its closed
shadow root when it has one, since the document can't see inside it, and at
the top of its tree when it isn't in a document.
- Only bubble listeners move after listeners added since, and turning the
option on with setOptions moves the listener too.
- Two React tests that press keys on detached targets work unchanged again.
- Port main's new adapter code to Solid 2: the customHotkeys prop effect is
split into compute and effect halves, and the new tests flush after writes.
- Drop the delegateEvents call from TanStack#225. Solid 2 delegates key events on the
render root, which runs before the document, so the order holds without it.
- Elements inside <Show> or <For> get their own component instead of a ref
callback, since Solid 2 runs ref callbacks outside the owner. Docs, the
skill, and the test follow.
- Move the TanStack Start example to Solid 2 (solid-start 2.0.0-rc.10). The
Astro and SolidStart examples stay on Solid 1 outside the workspace, since
neither has a Solid 2 release, and leave the SSR e2e list.
- Bump Solid 2 deps to solid-js and @solidjs/web 2.0.0-rc.20 and
@solidjs/vite-plugin 3.0.0-next.55, and the examples to solid-hotkeys ^0.21.0.
- Target a v2 alpha after 1.0 stable: pre mode uses the alpha tag and the
changeset is a major bump, so Solid 1 users stay on 1.x.
