Also, to clarify we just setting up the legal entity of PauseAI UK this week! We will provide donation information next week.
From previous with William Baird etc - this is a dual structure Pause AI UK educational charity, separate from the presumed existing Pause AI UK Company Limited by Guarantee, yes?
When it comes to the "click this" mechanism of donation, we should be able to use DonorBox to get any Gift Aid relief without other donor intervention as per #619
If this all aligns, get the new entity details onto the issue and we can discuss the public facing affordance?
What's the HMRC charity reference number? (Needed for DonorBox Gift Aid config)
What charitable purposes were registered? (Affects what activities can be funded through this arm)
How cleanly separated do the activities need to be in practice? (The Charity Commission will scrutinise if the charity appears to just funnel money to the campaigning CLG)
That last point is the ongoing governance headache with dual structures, but it's a solvable, well-trodden problem.
