the todaystart command fails silently if you are working in a split #792
Description
I had dashboard loaded in the main window so i opened the today note in a split.
put my cursor in the split window and CMD-J + /todaystart. expected this would run in the window.
it silently failed -- did nothing
log says that it could not find the today window and so it would try to open it and do something, but it did nothing
i think it's worth scanning open windows for a today note and if it does fail, say something

I'm quite close to releasing a completely new version of the plugins in this area. I think they're now using a smarter helper which does what you suggest.
Please can you confirm exact name and version number you're using?
