Even out the loudness of the glucose alarm sounds - #2589
Merged
Merged
Conversation
The bundled alarm sounds spanned 25 LU of perceived loudness, from mood_synth at -22.7 LUFS to critical at +2.5 LUFS, so choosing a sound also chose a volume. The low and predicted low defaults (simple and mood_synth) were among the quietest, which is how a predicted low can go unheard on #2481. Each file is now levelled to -9 LUFS integrated loudness (BS.1770, gated) with a look-ahead limiter holding peaks under -1 dBFS, then re-encoded as the same stereo 48 kHz IMA4 .caf. Every sound now measures between -10.8 and -8.9 LUFS, with lengths unchanged. Quiet sounds come up by as much as 13 dB; the loudest (critical, honk, alarm) come down to the same level.
