   That is standard behavior for google play protect. Anything that is side loaded, or even downloaded, gets that warning. That is there for people who do not know what they are doing when they download an apk.

   I am encountering an issue where Android’s Google Play Protect prevents the installation of Lean Keyboard when installing the APK from GitHub.

   Play Protect displays a warning indicating that the app is harmful and advises against installing it. This may discourage users from using the application, even though it is open source.

   Could you please investigate why Play Protect is flagging the app? If possible, it would be helpful to understand whether this is a false positive or if any remediation steps are planned (for example, reviewing the app signing process or submitting the app for verification).

   its now normal for downloading any apk from github/other source using browser, we cant do anything about it
