Reproducible in staging?: Yes
Reproducible in production?: No

Device used: Windows 11 pro/chrome
App Component: Left Hand Navigation (LHN)

Action Performed:

  1. Navigate to staging.new.expensify.com
  2. Create a new account using Gmail
  3. On the onboarding flow select track budget option inorder to have self DM
  4. Give the user a display name
  5. Create a workspace
  6. Go back to inbox

Expected Result:

Self DM should show personal display name given by the user

Actual Result:

Self DM no longer has a display name

Workaround:
