Firstly, This issue tries to link all related issues/feature request in one Issue. Making it Easier for the devs to Track.

- md Rendering in-app? With the new custom editor File support, Markdown preview in-app could be possible.
- Footnotes -> Support for markdown footnotes #1353
- tasks List (npm package (pretty old) -> https://www.npmjs.com/package/markdown-it-task-lists)
- (stale) related to markdown -> Feature Request: Folding on list level (Markdown) #266
- mermaid support -> Support of Mermaid and topic for markdown #159
- anchor links (unsure if this is present, I'll check)
- emojis support (i.e:
:satellite:-> 📡) - shiki highlighting - useful for syntax highlighting of code blocks (https://shiki.style/packages/markdown-it)
The Additional ones(mermaid, shiki, etc) can be put behind a toggle in settings.
Anyone Picking up any of the requests, Kindly comment with specific(if not all) Or Assign yourself (if have perms).
