The issue I am having is with the mysql database plugin but it applies to all database plugins.
When you create a new 'Database' vault entry in 1Password, it suggests/recommends as the field for the domain/IP as server. The CLI plugins on the otherhand use the field host (ref).
These should be consistent, using the same field in the CLI as is used when creating database entries. The easiest path forward would be if the CLI can work with either option. So it would use the host property if available and if that is not set default to using the server property.
Current behavior
To use this today, anytime you create a databse entry in a vault, you would need to manually switch server to host.

I guess it is not just
ServerandHost. The 1Password UI also recommends usingUsernameinstead of what the plugin uses, which isUser.moward98 commentedon Sep 26, 2025
Hello @chrisdail,
Thank you for bringing this to our attention! I will create a ticket within our team so we can work on this. Thanks!
