What is WinBAT Toolkit?

WinBAT Toolkit is an open-source home for small Windows batch utilities that solve focused, everyday problems without requiring an installer.

Use the unified launcher WinBatToolkit.bat, or run any tool directly from the tools/ directory.

Quick start

1. Download the latest release or clone the repository.
2. Extract the complete package.
3. Double-click WinBatToolkit.bat.
4. Select a tool from the bilingual menu.
5. Approve administrator access only when the selected tool needs it.

You can also download and run a tool directly from its own directory.

Why a toolkit?

Useful BAT scripts are often scattered across forum posts, copied without documentation, or distributed as opaque executables. This repository turns focused scripts into a maintained toolkit with:

• bilingual English and Chinese documentation;
• a predictable directory structure;
• a machine-readable tool catalog;
• automatic repository validation;
• explicit administrator requirements;
• restore instructions and safety notes;
• no installer, telemetry, advertising, or bundled executable.

Requirements

• Windows 10 or Windows 11
• Windows Command Prompt and Windows PowerShell
• Administrator approval only for tools that change system-level settings

Principles

1. Readable: source code stays visible and reviewable.
2. Focused: one script should solve one clearly documented problem.
3. Reversible: system changes should include a restore path whenever possible.
4. Offline-first: tools should not require a network connection unless clearly disclosed.
5. No bundled binaries: prefer built-in Windows commands over opaque executables.
6. Bilingual: important user-facing documentation should support English and Simplified Chinese.
7. Safe automation: validation must never execute scripts that change system settings.

WinBAT Toolkit 是一个持续收集 Windows 实用 BAT 脚本的开源工具箱，目标是解决日常系统设置、修复、维护和效率问题，不依赖安装程序。

你可以运行统一入口 WinBatToolkit.bat，也可以进入 tools/ 目录单独运行某个工具。

快速使用

1. 下载最新的发布版本，或者克隆完整仓库。
2. 解压完整工具包。
3. 双击运行 WinBatToolkit.bat。
4. 在中英双语菜单中选择工具。
5. 只有在工具确实需要修改系统设置时，才确认管理员权限。

也可以进入具体工具目录，单独下载和运行对应的 BAT 文件。

为什么要打造 BAT 工具阵地？

网上很多 BAT 脚本散落在论坛、评论区或网盘中，常见问题包括没有说明、无法恢复、来源不透明，甚至被包装成无法检查的 EXE。

这个仓库希望把实用脚本整理成一个长期维护的工具阵地：

• 根目录中英文双语说明；
• 统一、清晰的工具目录结构；
• 可供程序读取的 JSON 工具清单；
• 自动检查工具文件和兼容副本；
• 明确标注是否需要管理员权限；
• 提供恢复方法、安全说明和修改范围；
• 无安装器、无广告、无遥测、无捆绑 EXE。

系统要求

• Windows 10 或 Windows 11
• 系统自带命令提示符与 Windows PowerShell
• 只有修改系统级设置的工具才需要管理员权限

项目原则

1. 源码透明： BAT 内容必须可直接查看和审查。
2. 单一职责： 每个工具只解决一个明确问题。
3. 可恢复： 修改系统设置时，尽量提供恢复入口。
4. 离线优先： 默认不依赖网络，需要联网时必须明确说明。
5. 不捆绑程序： 优先使用 Windows 自带命令，不包装来源不明的 EXE。
6. 中英双语： 重要的用户说明同时支持英文和简体中文。
7. 安全自动化： 自动检查只验证文件和元数据，不执行会修改系统的 BAT。
