Implement Automatic Routers for Free Model Paths #1008
Implement automatic routers that act as dynamic model paths and can be referenced in both the dedicated Command Code IDE and any third-party IDE (such as VS Code). These routers should automatically route requests to the currently available free models.
The routers should dynamically resolve to available free models based on CommandCode's monthly partnership rotations with various model providers, eliminating the need for users to manually update model paths when free model availability changes.
Use Case
Users who rely on free models would benefit from a seamless experience without manual configuration updates. Since CommandCode rotates free model availability monthly through partnerships, automatic routers would:
Reduce friction for free-tier users who would otherwise need to manually reconfigure their IDE settings
Enable integrations with third-party IDEs without requiring monthly documentation updates
Improve user retention by providing consistent access to free model capabilities
Allow developers to write code that references stable model paths that work across different months
Additional Context
This feature would streamline the user experience around free model rotation and expand IDE compatibility, particularly for VS Code users who want to use Command Code models without manual path reconfiguration.
