GitHub Sponsors - Payout is not being emitted - Stripe says that the account was set to manual #208563

I'm experiencing the exact same issue. My GitHub username is devcool20. My first $1,000 sponsorship was initiated on June 26, 2026, and I still haven't received the payout. Stripe Support has also confirmed that my account is set to manual payout, meaning GitHub needs to trigger the payout. My GitHub Sponsors dashboard still shows no last payout, no estimated next payout, and no payouts, while Stripe shows ₹94,352.20 available in my balance. I've already opened a GitHub Support ticket, but I haven't received a response. If anyone from GitHub Sponsors is monitoring this discussion, please review this issue and manually trigger the pending payout if there is no outstanding verification/compliance issue. This is becoming extremely frustrating because the funds are already sitting in Stripe and both GitHub Support and Stripe are effectively leaving the issue unresolved. |

Same here, its been three months, contacted stripe and they told me to contact github. I made the ticket 2 months ago, no reply. (#4594910) |

I’m experiencing the same issue. My GitHub Sponsors dashboard showed Sep 22, but the payout was never initiated and the estimated date has now rolled over to Oct 22. Stripe Express shows ₹xxx, xxx,xx available and ₹0 on the way to my bank. The Stripe account is in manual payout mode and there is no payout button because GitHub controls the payout. I already have an open GitHub Support ticket but have received no response. Could someone from the Sponsors team please review this? |

I’m experiencing what appears to be the same issue. My GitHub Sponsors payouts were working normally and then suddenly stopped without any notice or explanation.
I contacted Stripe and was directed back to GitHub, as the payout schedule appears to be controlled by the platform. I opened GitHub Support ticket #4722880 on September 2 and it has now been unresolved for several weeks despite multiple follow-ups. Since there seem to be multiple maintainers experiencing the same behavior, I’m wondering whether this may be a broader GitHub Sponsors / Stripe Express payout issue rather than an individual account problem. If anyone from GitHub sees this, it would be very helpful to know whether this is a known issue and whether there is a recommended escalation path for affected maintainers. |

I'm really sorry you're experiencing this, Nilas. Two months without payouts and a month without support feedback is definitely frustrating. Since your ticket seems to be stuck, try reaching out to GitHub Support again directly mentioning this discussion plus your ticket ID, or escalate through their status page if available, sometimes flagging issues publicly helps surface them faster. |

Two missed payout cycles are outside GitHub’s normal Stripe Connect schedule, which is generally the 22nd of each month and within 30 days after month-end (payment terms). |

I thought I was the only one facing this issue, but it turns out so many others are dealing with it too!!!
Then three more incomes were recorded. None of them produced a payout.
I submitted a support ticket ten days ago, but it has yet to be addressed.(#4780316) |

It has been yet another 2 Weeks, still no updates on my ticket which is open since August 26th. I am considering filing a GDPR data subject access request for all records about my Github Sponsor activity and to figure out why it is being ignored. This level of ignorance is unacceptable from something as big as GitHub. |

What can we do , what is the solution ? |

Hello,
It is now the 2nd month since I have not received a payout from my GitHub Sponsors.
For added context:
I have started receiving payments from Sponsors since early 2026.
I have gotten in contact with Stripe and they have stated my account was put into manual mode and that you have to trigger the payout.
I have opened a ticket for over a month now with no feedback from you despite 2 follow-up emails, id #4700909.
Based on previous tickets around this topic, it seems like your support team is absolutely non-existent.
Please provide a solution.
Thank you,
Nilas
